ACCOUNTING IThis course focuses on accounting fundamentals, accounting procedures for a sole proprietorship and a merchandising business, banking and payroll activities, and specialized accounting activities—notes payable and notes receivable, uncollectible accounts, and depreciation of plant assets. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is highly recommended.

ACCOUNTING II HONORSThis honors-level course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and techniques utilized in solving business problems and making financial decisions. Emphasis includes departmental accounting, corporate accounting, cost accounting, and inventory control systems, managerial accounting and budgeting, and further enhancement of accounting skills. Mathematics is reinforced and entrepreneurial experiences are encouraged.

MARKETINGThis class is an introduction to the important concepts of marketing. You will understand the role of marketing in society and within the organization. Topics include selling, promotion, distribution, and marketing research. Class assignments and projects are designed to support the material that will be presented during class lectures.
